D’EDGE appoints Accor marketing veteran as new APAC general manager

D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions has appointed Accor marketing veteran Emilie Couton as APAC Managing Director, replacing Christine Tan, who led the company for seven years.

Emilie Couton: Taking D’EDGE in a new direction.

Couton was previously with Accor, spanning sales, digital marketing, customer experience and loyalty roles, for 20 years, the last 18 of which were in Asia. She left the group following its restructuring in the region which saw the closure of its Asia-Pacific office.

She joined D’EDGE, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Accor, earlier this year. In March, D’EDGE was chosen by Accor to be the central reservation system (CRS) for its 5,300 hotels worldwide.

With Couton’s “deep understanding of hoteliers’ needs and challenges,” D’EDGE says she “will guide them through the new landscape and distribution practices to support their business growth.”

Pierre-Charles Grob, CEO of D-EDGE, said: “Emilie knows the business inside and out. With her knowledge of the markets and her passion for the hospitality industry, she will help us grow our clients’ businesses and create opportunities in the region. It will build on the excellent work of the D-EDGE APAC team led by Christine Tan, who has been instrumental in developing strong partnerships with our customers.
