Derbyshire marketing agency spends £450,000 to buy previously let building

A Derbyshire marketing agency has invested £450,000 in buying offices it had previously let.

Purpose Media has purchased the property on The Village Business Park, Maisies Way, South Normanton.

The company already owned Unit 14 and had been renting Units 16 and 18 for four years.

It now has 5,000 square feet of space including co-working spaces, meeting rooms and staff recreation areas.

The purchase was originally planned two years ago, but the uncertainty caused by Covid-19 put it on the back burner.

Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft said business confidence, driven by strong demand for digital marketing expertise during and since the pandemic, allowed the deal to be resurrected in late 2021 and it was eventually closed. this month.

Mr. Wheatcroft said: “At a time when most companies are reducing their office space, we have invested in our future and in providing our staff and customers with an attractive environment to meet and collaborate.

“Now that we own all of the buildings, we plan to invest more in redesigning and redesigning the space to allow for more hybrid work styles and enable further growth for our team.”

Funding was provided through a NatWest bank commercial mortgage arranged by Darren Wilkinson and legal advice was provided to Purpose Media shareholders Matt Wheatcroft and Tim Lenton by Ellis Fermor & Negus.

Rob Spencer of FHP acted on behalf of the seller, Gary Dutton of EIRP who received legal advice from Browne Jacobson.

Purpose Media offers services including strategic marketing advice, brand identities and creative design, website development, SEO and content, social media, video and digital PR.
