Luke Tobin, founder and managing director of Leicester-based marketing agency Digital Ethos, has been nominated for the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 2021 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The awards saw a record 14,800 entries this year, meaning the competition was tougher than ever. In 2020, the entrepreneur won the Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Midlands Service Industries, recognizing his resilience and ability to thrive in a difficult year for many business owners.

Founded in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards recognize the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the UK.

The awards honored outstanding entrepreneurs who have become household names. Previous winners include the founders of Granada, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, Clearscore, and The Cambridge Satchel Company.

Luke said: “I am honored to have been on the shortlist, especially since there have been so many entries this year. It’s amazing to be recognized for all the hard work and passion I put into Digital Ethos and I’m really excited to see how far I can go this year.

“Screening would not have been possible without the support of my team who work so hard to make Digital Ethos the amazing agency that it is.

Great British Entrepreneur Awards Founder Francesca James said: “We have seen incredible finalists over the years, and this year is no exception. This is truly one of the strongest shortlists we’ve ever had, and the fact that so many exceptional people have applied in such a difficult year is a testament to the determination and entrepreneurial talent that exists through the United Kingdom.
