The European Hemophilia Consortium (EHC) is looking for an experienced and creative Digital Media Manager to join its small, dynamic team of staff and volunteers.

Summary

The EHC is a small and vibrant patient umbrella organization representing 48 national member organizations in Europe, including all EU Member States. The EHC office team is made up of a small group of nine people of several nationalities working in Brussels and remotely. The team’s work is implemented in conjunction with an extensive network of volunteers, consultants and service providers. EHC was founded in 1989 but has recently experienced substantial organizational growth, which is now declining. This P/T position is a new and previously non-existent team role.

The Digital Media Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing, managing, maintaining and optimizing all systems and content on EHC’s digital platforms (websites and SMs, digital newsletters, video content and audio-visual). and also provide general support to the extended team in the use of digital technology. This position will work closely with all colleagues, but in particular with Public Policy and Communications Officers (x2). The ideal candidate will bring experience, big ideas, great energy, enjoy working in a dynamic team, and be passionate about working to serve vulnerable groups in a non-profit organization.

Main tasks and responsibilities

The P/T Digital Media Officer will be primarily responsible for:

  • Create, manage, update and upload digital content, including texts, videos, PDFs, images, graphic designs, etc.,
  • Maintain, update and ensure the layout and accessibility of EHC websites,
  • Centralize the technology management of the website, including the creation of new sections, and proactively monitor regular web content updates in liaison with relevant staff members,
  • Provide layout recommendations to maximize page conversion,
  • Publication on several content management and social media platforms,
  • Ensure that all content has been properly checked before being published,
  • Setting up and configuring the relevant components of the information architecture and functionalities,
  • Maintain a responsive design to ensure mobile-friendly and cross-platform states,
  • Eliminate duplicate content and maintain site integrity in real time,
  • Ensure across platforms: UI consistency, content quality, review efficiency, up-to-date sites, brand/style guide consistency, SEO management best practices,
  • Develop and maintain data and reporting processes,
  • Ensure the interface with external service providers to ensure the continued performance of the site,
  • Review, monitor and report to the team on information and analysis,
  • Triage bugs and resolve issues,
  • Planning site backups as well as future changes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in content and website management.
  • University Baccalaureate.
  • Fluent English.
  • Demonstrated experience managing website content updates and publishing/editing workflows, SMM.
  • Experienced and proficient with WordPress, basic coding and HTML.
  • Experience with email/digital marketing.
  • Experience following style guides and website editorial standards.
  • Understanding of building, configuring and maintaining modern and responsive sites.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles.
  • Solid working understanding of web layout and presentation best practices.
  • Proven track record of high quality execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle different priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can communicate clearly and proactively with people of different cultures and professions, including patients, volunteers, health care providers, external consultants and service providers.
  • Resourceful, able to show initiative, autonomy, team spirit, work under tight deadlines, remain flexible and deliver under high pressure.
  • Hybrid working model: Able to work effectively and efficiently remotely as well as face-to-face.
  • Experience with non-profit organizations and/or social causes is considered an added value.

The IT Support Specialist will be asked to provide support, either directly or through the provision of external services, on:

Installation, updates, maintenance and troubleshooting of, among other things: hardware, software, cloud-based network systems/programs/devices and others, when and as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • University Baccalaureate.
  • Fluent English.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the IT infrastructure of small teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle different priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Can communicate clearly and proactively with people from multiple cultures and professions
  • Resourceful, able to show initiative, autonomy, team spirit, work under tight deadlines, remain flexible and deliver under high pressure.
