Multi-million pound deal sees Leicester marketing agency acquired by global player

A Leicester-born digital marketing agency has been acquired by Cadastra as part of its continued growth strategy.

Digital Ethos, which recently became a certified B-Corporation, said the deal will allow the company to add a range of customers to an established operation existing in 15 countries. Digital Ethos’ 50 digital marketers will also join Cadastra and remain at the Leicester headquarters.

Luke Tobin, who founded Digital Ethos in 2016, will remain CEO of Digital Ethos. He said, “I am extremely excited to continue to drive the company forward as CEO and to work in a unified, global company. Our collaborative global partnership with Cadastra brings together the best of our cultures and experiences to evolve our digital marketing strategies.

“Following the signing between our two companies, there will be no immediate change in day-to-day delivery. Our customers will continue to receive the high level of service to which they are accustomed.

“We also understand that this acquisition provides an excellent cross-selling and up-selling opportunity with Cadastra’s operations in London and Brazil. I look forward to this exciting new stage of growth with Cadastra.

Cadastra is a global marketing, technology, business strategy, data and analytics solutions company that has more than tripled its international operations in the past year. This agreement takes another “significant step” in consolidating its global platform, forming a structure with nearly 700 employees, seven offices and operations in more than 20 countries.

Digital Ethos has a “well recognized” track record in England, having already made two of its own acquisitions. The agency has worked with major UK brands such as NHS, Flutterwave, JD Group, Co-op and Scrivens, offering SEO, paid media, social media, digital PR and content production.

Over the next 12 months, the companies will establish an integration plan, including rebranding from Digital Ethos to Cadastra EMEA and sharing teams and resources from the London and Brazil offices.
