Online & Digital Media News – ZoomerMedia Acquires Daily Hive Parent Company Buzz Connected Media

ZoomerMedia is pushing further into the digital publishing space, acquiring Connected media buzzowner and publisher of daily hive. Based in Vancouver, Daily Hive has more than 3.1 million subscribers across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. The company also operates an in-house branded content studio, Hive laboratories. ZoomerMedia previously acquired blogTO in January of this year. The multimedia company, best known for exploiting VisionTV, The new classic FM (CFZM-FM) and Zoom Radio (CFZM-AM), says that with the addition of Daily Hive, it becomes the largest millennial and Gen Z-focused media platform in Canada, “and provides ZoomerMedia with an unparalleled national audience in terms of reach and demographic, online and social media engagement. ” Zoomer acquired Buzz Connected for $16.4 million, consisting of $6 million in cash, a $5 million promissory note, the issuance of $3 million of ZoomerMedia stock and the assumption of Buzz’s outstanding debt of $2.4 million.
