Private equity firms strike deal with digital media solutions provider

Imagesound, the global provider of in-store music solutions, has been sold to mid-market private equity firm Livingbridge.

ECI Partners – which has worked with Imagesound, headquartered in Chesterfield, since 2016 – generated a 2.6x return on the sale.

The Derbyshire-based digital media company operates in 160 countries around the world, providing audio and visual solutions to a variety of leading retail and leisure businesses. Its clients include Park Plaza, Vodaphone and David Lloyd Clubs.

The company has significantly expanded its international presence in recent years by opening offices in Miami, Shanghai and Dubai.

It has also made four acquisitions since its partnership with ECI.

Imagesound CEO Will Truman said, “It has been a pleasure to work with the ECI team over the past six years to expand our international footprint, grow our product offering and grow our team of over 100 %. I would like to thank the ECI team for this successful partnership, and I look forward to working with Livingbridge over the next few years as we seek to double in size again.

John Hayhurst, Partner at ECI, said, “It has been a pleasure to work alongside President Derek Mapp, Will and the team over the past six years helping to expand the company’s global proposition. We believe Imagesound is well positioned to continue its impressive growth trajectory. We would like to thank the team for this successful partnership, and wish them and Livingbridge all the best for the future.
