Syneos Health acquires Boco Digital Media
Syneos Health has acquired Boco Digital Health, a training and development company.
Syneos and Boco have been collaborating since 2016 on digital learning experiences for customers. The two companies have also partnered to develop MODAL, a cloud-based education and communication product.
The Boco acquisition is the latest deal for Syneos, which acquired data analytics and artificial intelligence company RxDataScience in October 2021.
Celeste Mosby, vice president and general manager of Learning Solutions at Syneos Health, said the continued growth of the social learning space spurred the company’s decision to purchase Boco. She added that Boco’s offering is complementary to Syneos’ products and creates additional opportunities for the marketing giant to differentiate itself with customers.
Mosby believes the rapidly changing learning landscape requires solutions that don’t require months of development.
“We do big product launches and have platforms for medical affairs and clinical operations,” she noted. “Boco’s ability to deliver for our customers in a flexible environment and for the Delphire platform was important. The platform needed to be able to adapt in no time when we needed it, instead of being stagnant and outdated.
Mosby added that the Boco deal will create a packaged product that will deepen Syneos’ skills in sales, leadership, and medical and clinical efficiency.
“Adding Boco to our culture will allow us to be a bit more of a fast-growing offering for our customer base,” she said. “Furthermore, learning is going to provide more flexibility as a dynamic platform for understanding data, digital assets and their impact on insights.”
